Cove Kid Demo Now Available On Windows
I spent the last month porting the existing Cove Kid demo to Windows. I wanted to expose more people to the game and get a more broad base of feedback on the original puzzles.
There are a few caveats for early play testers, and I am working through as I write this.
1.) If you have more than one monitor hooked up at time of launch, the game will launch covering both monitors at the same time. I'm still figuring out the Windows apis to make this behavior more natural, but at the moment the game doesn't do a great job of handling multi-monitor setups.
2.) The game only controls with a keyboard. I'm also working on making it compatible with a wide range of gamepads on Windows, and this is somewhat challenging due to the multiple input apis. Also XInput has bugs that can make your game stall frames if you call into it during a frame update.
